A lot of people got laid off at the end of 2008 and in the early part of 2009. A lot of the people who were affected couldn't find work and ended up in the unemployment lines. The next 5 days you are drilled about company policies, DOT policies, securing your loads, doing the paper work for your company and the DOT. Plus you must within these days also get a physical and DOT JD Truck Training Centre drug screen.

There are a lot of things to learn during this period and you will still need a lot of practice driving and maneuvering the truck. Driving school will give you the bases, but you are no way able to jump right into an 80000 pound vehicle all by yourself just yet.

I remember when the Truck driving school was teaching me how to meet all the CDL requirements. They taught me how to back up, shift and do lane changes and everything. But the real deal of getting loaded, to driving through the mountains is another thing.

Upon discharge from active duty he was assigned to Fort Hamilton as I had been. Living in Brooklyn it was logical that he would spend his six years of active army reserve at this fort. This job's main advantage is that you get to see places where you have never been. Even though it might scare Lr licence you at first, with a map and precise directions you shouldn't worry about it. From the seaside to the mountains and deserts, you will see everything. If you go in different states and meet new people, you will learn new accents and customs. It is all about making a living and at the same time live your life. When you will grow old, and you will have grandchildren, you'll be able to tell them that you've seen many places in your life, and even help them with geography.

Go to an accredited truck training center or driving school! Learn the whole bases of pro trucking! And make sure you choose a school or training center which is officially certified by the Professional Truck Driver Institute (PTDI).
